Where Minnie likes to relax - on the bathroom mat, which she rolls up into a make-shift bed!
Thank you, @penny and Falcon! Minnie is staying over-night with the vet, because she is a bit groggy after her anesthetic. i have to phone back in the morning at 9.30 a.m to gee a report and probably take he home after that. The nurse said Minnie was comfortable and growling at everybody that passed by her cage. LOL! She's letting them know - hands off!

The vet rang back later, saying they are "very worried about Minnie". As I had suspected there is now bleeding into the second eye, so she has lost sight in both eyes. They, the vets, have taken a blood sample from her and have sent it for analysis re what's going on, to a local university. They should have the results tomorrow. I'm to phone back tomorrow, to hear if they have come up with anything. Meanwhile, Minnie spends another night at the vets. It's heartbreaking to see her go blind and be so ill so suddenly like this. the vet says that if they can get her well, he knows she could live a good life as a house cat, seeing she already knows her way around the house. He also says that if they could get the bleeding to stop, there is a chance she could get her sight back. thumbs.
It was sad at the vets at 7.30 this morning, when I delivered Minnie. At the same time people with two big dogs were leaving in their dogs. One of the dogs seemed very ill and seemed to go into a seizure, as we were waiting. The owner, a man, sat there crying quietly and wiping away the tears. As I was pulling out in the car, I saw him coming out, still crying. Sad!

Awwwwww Whisker ... I'm so, so sorry Minnie is so ill ... breaks my heart. I do hope the vet can fix her up and you can get her home quickly. Yes, she knows her way around the house, quite well, so she shouldn't have a problem there, if she does lose the sight in both eyes.
Minnie thinks it's cool to get under a heap of old brush!
They really are excellent at the vet hosp. Tom was there with staff to take in Minnie yesterday morning at 7.30 a.m. and he was phoning me from there last night at 8 p.m. That's more or less a twelve-hour day for him.
