Minnie, my roof-cat, about two years ago.

Edit - I've transferred the following posts over from the Dropping In thread. Thank you all so much for your concern and kind words - all six pages! Meanwhile, Minnie is still in the vet hosp., and I will be keeping up with updates. So here's where it all started:

I'm just back from the vet - minus Minnie. She's very ill and the vet has kept her in for tests. Also he's going to put her on a drip in case she gets dehydrated. Have to phone back later for an update and they hope to have results of blood-tests by tomorrow. So she's staying overnight with the vet.

I'm so sorry to hear Minnie isn't better, and feeling so ill ... {{{hugs}}} to her and I hope she recovers quickly. I feel for you, having had Shaggy so sick lately.

Minnie is in hospital overnight, having tests and on a drip. She is very ill indeed.

Any news on Minnie, Whisker? I so hate pets and babies being sick .. it's just awful, as they don't understand what's happening.

Thanks @sassy! I phoned at lunch-time and got a report. They still have Minnie in the hospital and apparently she is very stressed by the hospital environment - so much so that they can't get a proper reading of her blood pressure. I offered to go in and hold her, but the vet said it was the hospital environment that was the issue, and that she is very nervous. Poor Minnie! I have to phone back in a few hours to hear further what they intend to do. Overall, she is much better this morning, due to being on a drip over-night and has eaten.

Sorry to hear about Minnie. It is crushing when our loved ones are ill. Nothing but healing thoughts for you and Minnie. Am glad she is improving.
