The opening ceremonies have been VERY cool so far.

America usually does very well with the swimming.

Well so far today I've watched some swimming, some cycling, some sculling (you know boats being rowed or paddled) and bits of everything that was happening. Great, great, great.

I love to watch the best in the world competing, no matter which country they're from.

You're right in the hub, Steel bat, where it's all going on!

My main interest, of course, is in the Irish Team. According to reports, they haven't done so well so far. I'm not going to get my hopes up too high.

We have a young star female boxer, Katie Taylor, who has won 4 world titles so far. I'll be rooting for her.
