Satellites pick up unprecedented Greenland ice melt

Greenland's surface ice cover melted this month over a larger area than ever detected in more than 30 years of satellite observations, NASA said Tuesday.

They don't know whether this is a once off thing or the start of a pattern for the years to come. If it continues it will cause huge weather changes and natural disasters, such as flooding and tsunamis in the world. Sorry to sound a bit gloomy!

I can well believe that, penny. Ireland is just a small island, and we are not that far removed from Grenland, if you look at the map. There is a very ancient prediction that Ireland will be submerged under water before the end of the world. I don't like to dwell of that too much at this time!
