The co-pilot of the doomed Germanwings jet barricaded himself in the cockpit and "intentionally" sent the plane full speed into a mountain in the French Alps, ignoring the pilot's frantic pounding on the door and the screams of terror from passengers, a prosecutor said Thursday.

So far, they've found only one of the two Black boxes. Hopefully , when they find the second, we will have a better understanding of what actually happened. Our hearts go out to the families of the innocent victims, who lost their lives.

Prosecutors: Lubitz probed suicide methods, cockpit security

The co-pilot of Germanwings Flight 9525 appears to have researched suicide methods and cockpit door security in the days before he flew the plane into the French Alps, killing 150 people, German prosecutors said Thursday.
