A North Carolina man's act of generosity may have ended up saving his own life.
Pastor Tim Jones decided to donate his kidney to help a man he met at a church fundraiser last fall who needed a transplant, CBS Charlotte affiliate WBTV reports. Don Herbert, a former professional wrestler turned gospel singer, was suffering from kidney failure and desperately needed a donor.
