Lots of really tempting things to try there, marigold. Funny, peanut butter is not eaten a lot over here - probable because peanuts are not grown in this part of the world. It is possible to buy jars of it on the supermarket shelves, so I must get one today and try some of these recipes.

Peanuts are a large crop for eastern Virginia with its sandy soil so we have no shortage of peanuts or peanut products here. I'm in the southern piedmont of Virginia and they don't grow here but whenever I go east, you can't escape them! They even have a peanut museum in the town of Waverly, I believe.

I love to feed the squirrels and peanuts in the shell are one of their favorite treats! I also like to take an apple and smear peanut butter on it and they go completely crazy over it ... they eat it off of their paws after swiping it off the apple. Once the peanut butter is gone, one of them will high tail it with the apple in tow!

Thanks for that info, marigold. I went to the supermarket and bought some peanut butter, which seems to be readily available. I thought I'd prefer the textured one, which was nice on toast, but when I found a recipe I liked, it said it had be the smoooth version. LOL!
