Yes, marigold, I agree, plants, especially evergreens, can do wonders for making a plce feel homely.

I use a halogen oven, which is really a large glass bowl with a halogen light. The one I had, gave up just before Xmas, so I bought another.

What to do with the large glass bowl on a stand, that was part of the old one! Shame to throw it out!

I got some oasis (the green stuff flower arrangers use), filled the bowl with water and made a large arrangement of holly and ivy from my garden. Very simple. As the florist said - "You can't go wrong!"

Really looks lush in the room.
