Make Sure You Don't Get the Worst Room with These Hotel Manager Tips
Some people get upgraded to fancy suites in the hotel, others get sentenced to rooms near the elevator. If you want to avoid the worst rooms, heed these reservation tips from a hotel front desk supervisor.
Good advice! As far as possible I try to contact the hotel directly to make a booking. With these booking companies, there is every chance, you will be allotted one of the worst rooms. Once there, you have no comeback - just because you've gone through a booking company!
I do use the booking companies, just to get info re prices etc. Then I go directly to the hotel, if possible.

Hotels have become smarter these days, and add charges for extras, such as sea-view, landscape, etc. If you don't know this, you're likely to get a room overlooking a car-park or dumpster collection point! LOL!
