Thanks you for your concern, Ladies. Minnie passed in flying colors. Tom said he was very pleased with his surgery - "embroidery", as he called the stitching! He took out the stitches with a scalpel, without any problem. He was very impressed with how well Minnie is looking and thanked me again for taking care of her so well!
Minnie has to continue on high blood pressure tablets - just one eighth of a tablet each day. I got just a week's supply of tablets, i.e. one tablet split into eight! LOL! and have to go back in a week's time to get a month's supply - 4 tablets? Tom must have run out of them!
Hopefully Minnie will have a good life from now on. She is doing very well getting around the house and even took a trip into the garden yesterday, and found her way back into the house all on her own. With the fine weather approaching now, hopefully she will get out much more.
So that's a complete update, Ladies! Will keep you posted if any changes.
Poor Mimmie! She took a stroll out to the garden today. The first thing she heard were some birds flying past. She immediately made a dash to catch them. poor thing! Not much chance of success, if she can't see! I hope she will get out more now, so that she will get used to being outside while being blind. Hopefully, she will get used to the birds singing and flying around and won't feel the need to chase them.
It's good to hear that she had the instinct to want to catch a bird, and the strength to try. Sounds like she is healing well, thanks to a beautiful vet and a very caring 'mom'. Stories like Minnie's recovery always make me so happy.
