If you're familiar w/ counted cross-stitch you know how much time is involed w/ them.
I made hundreds (literally) w/ my granddaughter's name, initials & birthdate. I used various colors of cloth & thread. The sizes were from about an inch square to about 12 inches by 18 inches. The patterns were all different & some done vertically, horizonally & diagonally. I did them for six YEARS & intended on sewing them all together into a quilt for her bed or wall. While visiting her one summer I showed them to her & wanted to know which colors I should make more of - WRONG thing to do! She was young I'd say about 8 years old. She totally fell in love w/ them; sounds nice , huh? It wasn't, she could not part w/ them so that I could sew them together! She had to have them RIGHT NOW!! So, now instead of a quilt/hanging she has hundreds of small squares/rectangles of material. Good thing I enjoyed doing all that cross-stitch, I never saw any of them agagin.
