This is the code that comes up, when I clicked on that blue button in the Aff. Table.
You will need to put in the url. for your forum plus the direct link to an image (button) 88px by 31px. I presume your forum url goes in where it says "_Blank" and your image code goes where it starts "http://images....
I will also add it to another forum to my test board and near future moved forum because this one was just an advertising forum that turned out as a chat and friendship forum.
I don't see it on the Aff. Table, Tomonag! If you complete your code and send it to me separately in a PM (to "Admin"), I can try putting it up for you. Please enclose your code with the "Code" button (the "C" button next to "Quote" button), so that the code reads properly.
Will take me months to get 250 posts as my eye plays up a little at times that takes me off the net for small periods of time, but with my sites i generally allow affiliates links in profiles and sigs on mie for new ones, but as long as they return the favor of they own a site. Cause some affiliate rules will push others away form affiliating, my opinion.
That number is cut down to half, just for you, Mozzie! I think you have now read that. Re Affiliates, this is something we have not tried before. I have invited a few people who seemed interested, to affiliate. So far none have succeeded and some have declined the invite. Again, if someone is interested in affiliating, they would need to have proved to me that they are genuine contributors to SeasonS. That obviously will take a little time.
My big point re getting new members is to get people who really are interested in participation on this forum - not just promoting their own forum. The last member who joined here has been promptly deleted and banned for that precise reason, that it was patently obvious right from the start that this was his main reason for joining - just to promote his own forum.
Also, for the same reason, I am not inclined to join other people's forums, unless for a genuine issue. It is my belief, that while Proboards are great to work with, this is a major fault they have - that they encourage people to join other people's forums for this reason. It got to a stage with that system here, that I could take no more - and hence there was a huge clear-out of members from here. I am determined to stick to my guns as regards this. The problem, I find with promoting my forum on PB's is that it attracts only other forum owners to join and hence we're once again on the "merry-go-round". "I'll join your forum, if you join mine" - and then they justify their existence by putting up itty-bitty one-word or even smilie posts. Not what we're looking for here! Just saying!
As for me, I am on a number of forums that don't allow promotion of my forum in any shape or form. I'm on there, just because I want to be - because of their subject matter. That's what I would like to see happen here - that people would be here for the right reasons.
